A fully-accessorised version of the Foton Tunland ute has been this week, which will make its Australian show debut at the National 4×4 Outdoors Show this weekend.

With raised front and rear RidePro suspension, Dynamic Python alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo AT2 tyres, snorkel, canopy, Warn Winch and tow kit, the kitted-out Foton Tunland 4×4 Dual Cab looks the business.

The toughened-up ute will go on display alongside a standard Tunland 4×4 Dual Cab, along with a Tunland 4×2 Single Cab ute.


Starting at $22,490 drive-away for the 4×2 Single Cab and $30,990 drive-away for the 4×4 Dual Cab, the Chinese Ute is notably cheaper than mainstream rivals like the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux.

While official pricing for the accessories has not been released, the fully-kitted Tunland 4×4 should cost around the $40,000 drive-away mark.

Powering the Tunland dual-cab is a 120kW/360Nm 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

Standard equipment across the range includes alloy wheels, air-conditioning, power windows and mirrors, CD/MP3/WMA audio system with Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, along with keyless entry.


The dual-cab variant also comes with an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, while safety is covered by rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution EBD).

All Foton utes come with a three-year, 100,000km new vehicle warranty and roadside assistance.

The 2016 National 4×4 Outdoors Show and Fishing and Boating Expo runs from 19 August to 21 August.
