Nissan Navara Tradesman Canopy accessory recalled for window fix

Nissan is recalling 428 ‘D23’ Navara utes fitted with the genuine Tradesman Canopy accessory, over concerns misaligned window stoppers could cause the safety glass to shatter.

According to the Japanese manufacturer, the side and rear lift window stoppers on the accessory could be out of alignment, which can cause the safety glass of the canopy’s windows to shatter when opening or closing, posing an injury hazard.

Affected Navara utes fall between the VIN ranges MNTC**D23A0000026 to MNTC**D230015265. Not all vehicles within the range are being recalled.

Owners of the recalled canopies are advised to contact their local Nissan dealer to arrange for new window stoppers to be fitted free of charge.

This is the second recall in as many days for the D23 Navara, which has also been recalled for a faulty engine malfunction indicator light.
