Godzilla gets golden armour: This glittery GT-R makeover took 2000 hours

It may not be real gold (sorry to get your hopes up), but this glittering customised 2016 Nissan GT-R is surely one of the wildest examples in the line's entire history.

No surface has been left untouched or modified, with deep and detailed engraving on every panel, matched to hugely flared guards and a unique samurai helmet-like look to the front end.

Built up by Kuhl Japan as a concept for the Tokyo Auto Salon - an aftermarket tuner's dreamland playground - this golden Godzilla is the result of 2000 hours work.

To break that down, that'd be just over 83 days - if you worked around the clock - or around 166 days if you were to pull that many 12-hour shifts in the workshop.

All for this one heavily-engraved fibreglass monster body kit. What do you think - was it worth the effort?
