Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for 19 vehicles from its 2015 ML and GL SUV lines, over concerns of seat belt failure.

The manufacturer reports the lower mount of the right-side rear seat belt may have been fitted incorrectly.

As a result, the belt mounting could potentially fail in a high-impact collision, posing a risk of injury to passengers.


Affected ML and GL vehicles were sold between 1 May 2015 and 31 July 2015.

Owners of the recalled SUVs will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz via mail.
