2017 Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera spied with production parts

The Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera has been spied for the first time wearing production elements.

Earlier Superleggera prototypes featured an almost unchanged LP610-4 body, with the only noticeable changes being the temporary plates and a huge rectangular box out the back hiding the car's new exhaust setup.

With these latest photos, we can see that up front the Huracan Superleggera has a more heavily styled lower front bumper to help channel air to various underbody components. This is capped off with a more prominent front spoiler.

At the rear, it's hard to miss the large wing and the enlarged set of vents under the tail-lights. The exhaust system has been relocated to a higher position, which necessitates a new diffuser design underneath.

Rumour has it that power from the 5.2-litre V10 engine will be tuned to deliver around 485kW of power. That's up significantly on the 449kW/560Nm available in the Huracan LP610-4.

Weight should fall thanks to an intensive dieting program, which may include the junking of niceties, such as carpet and sound deadening. It almost goes without saying that the Superleggera will employ more carbon-fibre parts.

The Huracan Superleggera coupe should debut later this year, possibly as early as the Paris motor show in early October. An alfresco-capable Spyder version will likely follow in a year's time.
