2015-16 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 recalled for stalling fix
Mercedes-Benz is recalling 286 of its 2015 and 2016 GLE450 SUVs over concerns that the engine could stall.
The luxury car maker reports that, due to a software concern with the engine control unit (ECU), the vehicle’s engine may stall when braking at low speeds.
Should the GLE450’s engine stall, it would pose a safety hazard to the vehicle’s occupants and other road users.
Affected GLEs were built between 1 June 2015 to 31 May 2016. As previously mentioned, a total of 286 vehicles are affected by the recall.
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners of the recalled vehicles via mail.
