This week, Paul Maric and Mandy Turner hold the fort on their own, exploring the latest news and reviews from CarAdvice across the automotive landscape and Australia's new-car market.

What happened in this week's episode?

Paul and Mandy discuss the tragic news that the owner of a Tesla Model S was killed while using the vehicle's Autopilot feature, while the lighter side of the week leads to the new Maserati Levante's local premiere and the global unveiling of the new Porsche Panamera.

Mitsubishi Australia has recalled just under 430,000 vehicles in Australia, while Renault has unveiled its new Nissan Navara-based Alaskan ute.

A Japanese-market facelift for the Toyota Tarago has been confirmed for Australia, and the new Volvo S90 and V90 models have been driven by CarAdvice in Europe.

Matt tells us about his time in the new Corolla Hybrid, and Trent calls in to tell us about his drive of the new V6-powered Volkswagen Amarok. Also, the German car maker's local communications manager Paul Pottinger gets on the horn to talk about sales and the dreaded Dieselgate.

And, as is now tradition, we highlight a few 'what the' reader comments. Because if you can't single out the odd units on-air, what's the point of wielding all this power?
