2016 Honda CR-V VTi Limited Edition on sale in Australia

A new limited-edition variant has been added to the 2016 Honda CR-V line-up this week, adding new features at the lower end of the range.

This new limited edition follows the diesel-powered DTi-L Limited Edition and the petrol VTi Limited Edition, both of which were unveiled last year and joined the 2015 CR-V range.

The 2016 limited-edition CR-V is set to bring with it a number of features over the standard CR-V, which Honda hopes will encourage new buyers to the category.

“As more newcomers join the mid-sized SUV segment, the CR-V has cemented its reputation as a very compelling SUV for Honda customers,” Honda Australia director, Stephen Collins said.

“For those customers looking for something extra, the Limited Edition has the key features expected by shoppers in the market for a proven SUV.”

Headlining the features added to the CR-V LE is the inclusion of Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system that displays a view of the driver’s blind spot on the car’s seven-inch touchscreen display.

The variant also brings a rear roof spoiler, fog lamps, front and rear parking sensors, auto headlights and wipers along with side steps and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Honda is offering the 2016 CR-V LE in both two- and four-wheel-drive versions, with pricing placed at $32,990 (2WD) and $35,690 (4WD) drive-away. Both prices reflect a $1700 increase over the equivalent base VTi models.

The powertrain in the CR-V LE remains unchanged, with a 114kW/190Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine offered in the 2WD and a 140kW/222Nm 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in the 4WD.
