Mini Clubman ALL4 Scrambler concept revealed

British car maker Mini has this week unveiled a motorcycle-inspired concept of its Clubman wagon.

Dubbed the Clubman ALL4 Scrambler, the one-off concept features a number of interior and exterior design elements drawing heavily from BMW’s R Motorrad nineT Scrambler motorcycle.

Despite being based on the the Clubman, the concept has been enhanced with the ALL4 all-wheel-drive system found in the Countryman SUV.

The Scrambler concept further showcases its off-road credentials with a set of knobbly tyres, spotlights up front, plastic cladding around the lower body, and raised suspension.

It also features a set of satin silver roof racks along with silver detailing on the grille, windows and door handles.

On the inside, the interior if wrapped in nappa leather and Alcantara that carries the ‘Scrambler’ insignia.

The car is also finished off with satin black alloy wheels and a Frozen Grey paint job - also inspired by the nineT Scrambler motorcycle.

While Mini hasn’t offered any details on the powertrain of the Clubman Scrambler, it likely uses the 141kW/280Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit found in the Cooper S Clubman.

Although it’s very unlikely the Clubman Scrambler would ever find its way to production, the concept is intended to draw attention to the Clubman's available ALL4 all-wheel-drive system.

While Mini revealed a version of the Clubman feature the ALL4 system earlier this year, the company confirmed it would not be offered in Australia.

Local buyers wanting an all-paw Mini will have to stick to the Countryman SUV - though the system is not offered in the base model.
