2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo unveiled

The revised Nissan GT-R Nismo has been unveiled sporting an updated front-end, new interior, and tweaks to the suspension.

On outside, the 2017 GT-R Nismo adopts many of the changes made to its less powerful siblings. Up front, the Nismo now has a version of the V-motion grille that's present on the rest of the Nissan range.

Unlike less sporting Nissans, though, the GT-R Nismo's entire front bumper is fashioned out of carbon-fibre, with some of its visible to the naked eye.

There's also a redesigned front splitter that sweeps more air around the wheels and, according to the company, helps the revised GT-R Nismo to produce the most downforce available on a production Nissan thus far.

Under the bonnet, the updated coupe features the same 441kW hand-made version of the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 as the outgoing GT-R Nismo.

Performance is said to be improved via tweaked shocks, springs and stabilisers, which along with the stiffer body and improved aerodynamics are said to improved slalom and cornering ability by two percent.

The GT-R Nismo inherits the heavily revised interior that's used in the rest of the 2017 GT-R range, which includes a new streamlined and higher quality dashboard, an 8-inch touchscreen display with remote control knob, and a new steering wheel.

Unique to the Nismo are leather and faux suede Recaro carbon bucket seats.
