Isuzu’s UK arm is celebrating the company’s 100th year as an auto maker with the launch of a new special-edition D-Max Centurion, limited, fittingly, to 100 units.
Launched in the United Kingdom from April 9 - the 100th day of the year - the Centurion edition features plenty of exclusive exterior and interior appointments to go with its exclusive production run.
The new special is priced from £30,999 ($57,788), and the ‘ultimate pickup’ is fitted with £11,000 ($20,521) of extras that include 19-inch alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, LED daytime-running lights, an Alpha Sports tonneau cover and remote tailgate locking.
In the cabin, the special-edition D-Max features ‘Centurion’-embroidered leather seats, a leather steering wheel and front centre armrest, and rear door sills with illuminated Isuzu logos.
Entertainment upgrades include a new 8.0-inch touchscreen Alpine system, six-speaker sound system with subwoofer, along with a roof-mounted 10.2-inch rear entertainment system that features two pairs of wireless headphones.
Under the bonnet is a UK-spec 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that generates 120kW and 400Nm, different to the Australian D-Max’s 3.0-litre turbo-diesel that has a 130kW/380Nm output.
The Isuzu Centurion has so far been specified for the UK market only. CarAdvice has contacted Isuzu Australia about whether we will see a similar celebration model locally. Stay tuned for an update when we get a response.
Isuzu Ute Australia has confirmed there are no plans to introduce the Centurion model in Australia.
Speaking with CarAdvice today, Isuzu Ute Australia communications manager Dave Harding said: "From time to time, Isuzu UTE Australia does release their own limited editions, most recently under the X-Runner nomenclature".
