2016 BMW X5 adds ‘Innovations’ equipment pack as standard
BMW has announced that the 'Innovations' package will now be available as a no-cost option on all X5 models.
This brings the top-selling luxury SUV in-line with the updated Mercedes-Benz GLE range in offering more safety- and technology-centric equipment as standard.
All variants in the range, including the entry-level $86,200 sDrive25d, now come equipped with a heads-up display, surround-view parking camera, lane-departure warning, anti-glare mirrors and the interior lighting package.
The top-selling $102,900 xDrive30d adds features such as Comfort Access keyless entry and Driving Assistant Plus with adaptive cruise control.
Higher specification models are additionally equipped with soft-close doors and the 10.2-inch multifunction instrument display, with the xDrive50i and M50d models now fitted with a panoramic sunroof as standard.
The inclusion of Innovations adds $6900 worth of value to the sDrive25d and xDrive25d, $5600 to the xDrive30d, $5500 to the xDrive 35i and 40d, $4700 to the new xDrive40e Hybrid, and $6800 to the xDrive50i and M50d.
Pricing for the cars remains the same as when last changed in August 2015.
