2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit update leaked

Photos that look to be of the updated Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit have been leaked and published online ahead of the car's debut at the New York auto show later this week.

This leak of the revised top-of-the-range Grand Cherokee Summit comes hot on the heels of photos of the new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk escaping into the wild.

It's not clear how these images were obtained by Carscoops, but they show a number of exterior and interior upgrades.

Up front, the revised Summit features a new front bumper, which does away with the scalloping and false vents under the headlights. There's also a subtly revised lower intake area, thin cutouts for the fog lights, and a blacked out area surrounding the chrome-laden grille. There's also a new, more intricate alloy wheel design.

On the inside, the updated range-topping Summit is now available with two-tone white and black leather, featuring quilted elements for the seats' bolsters and door trim.

It's not yet known whether the upgraded Summit will feature any changes to its mechanical or electronics package. Also unknown. at this stage, is whether any of the slight visual changes to the front fascia will be applied to lesser models in the Grand Cherokee range.

With the show in the Big Apple kicking off on Wednesday, New York time, we won't have long to find out.
