2016 Audi A4 Allroad Quattro debuts, coming to Australia third quarter

Compared to the regular A4 wagon, the Allroad Quattro has an extra 34mm of ground clearance thanks to suspension that sits 23mm higher and larger diameter wheels.

Further visual differentiation comes courtesy of wheel arch and sill extensions, new bumpers, more aggressive air intakes, silver painted under body protection and rear diffuser, vertical chrome slats for the grille, and taller roof rails.

Under the bonnet, the A4 Allroad Quattro will be offered with a choice of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, with power outputs ranging from 110kW to 200kW. All-wheel drive is standard, and, depending on the engine, transmission choices include a six-speed manual, a seven-speed dual-clutch, and an eight-speed automatic.

Alloy wheel sizes range from 17 to 19 inches, and there's a five-link suspension setup at each corner. As with the regular A4 wagon, the Allroad Quattro has 505L of boot space with the rear seats up, and 1510L when they're folded down. A powered luggage blind and rear tailgate are both standard.

Top-spec models are fitted with a 19-speaker 3D Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, adaptive cruise control that works in stop/start traffic, trailer manoeuvring assistance, and a six-setting Drive Select system with off-road mode.

The A4 Allroad Quattro will arrive in Australian showrooms during the third quarter of 2016. Pricing and specifications will be announced closer to its local launch.
