Jaguar has revealed a new styling-focused special version of its F-Type sports car, dubbed British Design Edition.

The new supercharged V6-powered special will make its way to Australia in the second quarter of 2016, with a starting price of $166,650 plus on-road costs.

The new special will be available in four forms: three Coupes and one Convertible, each based on the 280kW F-Type V6 S model.

Celebrating the brand’s heritage, the F-Type British Design Edition will be offered in the colours of the Union Jack, but fans of the ever-popular black will still be looked after.

The special will also wear the Exterior Sport Design Pack, along with 20-inch Cyclone alloy wheels in Satin Dark Grey set in front of the Jaguar Super Performance Braking pack with 380mm front and 376mm rear ventilated discs.

In the cabin, there’s ‘Jet’ premium leather with contrast stitching in red, ivory or Reims Blue, along with carbon fibre trim in place of the S model’s aluminium elements.

British Design Edition badging and branding, inside and out, rounds out the styling tricks, but there’s also the option of 380W Meridian sound and 770W surround sound systems.
