2016 Pagani Huayra:: hardcore limited-edition supercar teased

A more aggressive, more hardcore version of the twin-turbocharged V12 Pagani Huayra has been teased ahead of its 2016 reveal.

Previewed via Pagani Automobili’s official Facebook page, attached to the hashtag “huayrabc”, the new variant is expected to be unveiled in full at this year’s Geneva motor show in March.

Most notably equipped with a huge rear wing and an equally tough-looking rear diffuser, the teased car – whether it will be dubbed the Huayra R or Huayra BC – was spotted late last year wearing the same QR-code camouflage and twin-seven spoke wheels (pictured below).

Although specifics on the model remain slim, the upcoming rear-wheel drive supercar is likely to feature a raft of lightweight materials, including the company's patented ‘carbontitanium’ – a titanium/carbonfibre composite.

It’s also tipped to have an uprated version of both the ‘standard’ 1350kg Huayra’s 544kW/1000Nm twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG 6.0-litre V12 engine and seven-speed sequential transmission.

Rumours suggest production numbers will be highly limited (possibly to only 20 units), while sales of the multi-million-dollar model will be restricted to existing Huayra owners.

Featuring variable ride height and four dynamically adjustable aero control flaps, the Pagani Huayra was unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show, claiming a 3.0-second 0-100km/h time and a top speed of over 380km/h.

For the uninitiated, the Huayra - Pagani's replacement for the iconic Zonda - takes its name from the Aymaran god of wind.
