C4 Cactus - March
The all-new Citroen C4 Cactus will finally arrive in showrooms in March, after nearly 18 months of being on sale in Europe.
The quirky, city-friendly crossover model – which is known for its Airbump exterior bubblewrap on the bumpers and doors – is expected to be something of a game-changer for the French brand in Australia, with plenty of interest and customer deliveries commencing from late February.
We already know the pricing and specifications for the Citroen C4 Cactus two-model range, with the 81kW/205Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol version with a six-speed manual gearbox starting at $26,990 plus on-road costs, while the 68kW/230Nm 1.6-litre turbo diesel model comes with a six-speed semi-automatic gearbox, at $29,990 (plus costs).
Its not just those funky Airbumps that help the C4 Cactus stand out from the crowd – it also features a ceiling-mount passenger airbag to alleviate dashboard space; there are 23,184 colour and trim combinations to choose from; and the back windows are pop-outs rather than wind-downs, to save weight. In fact, the C4 Cactus tips the scales – in some configurations – at less than 1000kg.
