After a more than sixty year absence, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint nameplate is returning to Australia for a limited edition model.
The new Sprint is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque. This, Alfa Romeo claims, means that the car can race from 0-100km/h tim 8.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 210km/h.
Fuel economy of the Sprint is said to 5.7L/100km in the combined fuel cycle.
The limited edition Sprint is based on the Progression trim level. Features added to the Sprint include five-hole 17-inch alloy wheels matched to 225/45 tyres, dark tinted windows, side skirts, and special badging on the front fender.
On the inside, the Sprint has carbonfibre-style trim pieces on the dashboard and door panels, as well as a leather trimmed steering wheel, cloth and Alcantara seats that are embroidered with a Sprint logo on the headrests, and plenty of red stitching.
Other standard features include a darkened effect for the grille, mirrors, door handles and headlight surrounds, as well as a rear diffuser insert, LED driving lights, LED tail-lights, air conditioning, and six airbags.
The Uconnect infotainment system features a 5-inch touchscreen, six speakers in total, Bluetooth connectivity, voice command recognition, a USB port, and SMS readout.
The limited edition Giulietta Sprint is on sale now with a starting price of $31,000 before on-road costs.
