The Macan GTS debuts with more power and torque compared to the Macan S, a unique suspension tune, GTS-specific exterior and interior highlights, and new connectivity options.
With a base built on the Macan S (250kW), the Macan GTS is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that features modified engine calibration and produces 265kW of power (360hp) and 500Nm of torque (369lb-ft).
It's mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox and sends torque through an all-wheel drive drivetrain.
Utilising an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch, the Porsche Traction Management system (PTM) can send torque to the front wheels in line with traction demands. This is in addition to the availability of torque vectoring, which further improves mid-corner torque distribution.
The braking package has been improved to offer 360mm rotors at the front with six-piston calipers (finished in red) and 330mm rotors at the rear with single-piston calipers.
Keeping the Macan GTS stable is an air suspension package that includes the famed Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system.
The suspension setup allows for adjustable ride height and variable damper stiffness. The revised package lowers the ride height by 15mm in comparison to the Macan Turbo.
On the outside, the Macan GTS picks up black exterior accents, a GTS designation on the rear and side skirts, along with 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels finished in satin black. Further improving the exterior appearance will be the option of LED headlights with Porsche's unique four-point LED running light functionality.
Inside the cabin, the Macan GTS features a leather package with GTS sports seats finished in Alcantara trim with GTS logos in the headrests. Buyers can option a GTS interior package that includes Carmine Red tachometer highlights with unique stitching, seat belts and embroided GTS logos.
The Macan GTS picks up two connectivity systems, which include the Porsche Connect system with Apple CarPlay integration. A higher level Porsche Connect Plus comes with a navigation system and expands connectivity with a hot-spot capable LTE modem that allows passengers to use the internet and allows the navigation system to pick up realtime traffic.
The Macan GTS is on sale from today in Australia and is priced from $109,500.
