Land Rover’s ageing Discovery 4 is expected to be replaced by 2017, but buyers in the meantime are now being treated to a pair of style-focused specials.

Today, the company’s local arm has announced availability of the new Landmark and Graphite editions, adding exterior and interior styling extras.

Opening proceedings is the Discovery Graphite, priced from $70,780 in TDV6 form and $89,900 for the SDV6 version.


Inspired by the Black Pack option, the Discovery Graphite adds a grey finish to the grille and fender vents, with the former also getting a gloss black and lighter grey frame design.

The Graphite also gets 19-inch seven-split-spoke alloy wheels, finished in a dark gloss grey. Nine body colours and three interior colourways are offered.

The Graphite is available in 155kW 3.0-litre TDV6 and 188kW 3.0-litre SDV6 SE forms, with the latter also featuring a console cooler box, keyless entry and HDD navigation.


For the SDV6 HSE-based Landmark model, priced from $106,690, the Discovery gets full-length roof rails in a bright finish, along with black fender vents, grille and mirror caps, with Landmark badging to the side and rear.

Exterior changes are rounded out with 20-inch five-split-spoke alloy wheels, matched to a choice of five body colours.

Inside, the Landmark gets Windsor Leather seats and the Extended Leather Pack, trimming the dashboard, door casings and fascia. Three colourway options are offered: Ebony, Almond and Tan, with the latter making its first appearance in the Discovery.


Other Landmark-specific upgrades include a centre console cooler box and cold climate pack, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats have also been specified.

There’s also an 825W Meridian surround sound audio system and DAB+ provides the clearest and most powerful system available in the Discovery range. The Vison Assist Pack includes Adaptive Xenon headlamps, Automatic High Beam Assist and the Surround Camera system including 5 cameras to provide exceptional vision in all directions.

Both special editions are available for order now, with Australian deliveries due in the second quarter of 2016.
