The limited edition Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition has just been unveiled in the lead-up to the release of the new Bond film, Spectre, later this year.
Production of the new Bond Edition DB9 GT will be limited to just 150 copies worldwide. Each Bond Edition car is painted in an exclusive hue dubbed spectre silver, adorned with sterling silver Aston Martin badges, and fitted with discreet “007 Bond Edition” badging.
Also standard are 10-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, a carbonfibre front splitter and rear diffuser, and bonnet vents, side strakes and grille fashioned from bright aluminium.
On the inside, the DB9 GT Bond Edition is equipped with numbered sill plates, special embroidery on the rear seats, and a Bond-themed startup screen for the infotainment system.
Buyers of the Bond Edition DB9 will also receive an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch and a 21-inch Globe Trotter trolley case.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition is available for order from today.
The Bond Edition vehicle uses the same, more powerful drivetrain from the recently unveiled DB9 GT. That means that under the bonnet there’s a 5.9-litre V12 engine driving the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
With 402kW of power and 620Nm of torque on tap, the Bond Edition is capable of blasting from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and hitting a top speed of 295km/h.
The latest movie in the 007 franchise, Spectre, will be released later this year and will feature James Bond, once again portrayed by Daniel Craig, behind the wheel of the hand-built (and not-for-sale) DB10.
