2015 Nissan Navara NP300 additional pricing announced:: single-cab petrol from $19,490

Another 13 variants have been added to the 2015 Nissan Navara NP300 range, including new dual-cab, king-cab and single-cab models and new diesel and petrol engines.

All models will be in Nissan dealerships from November 2015, with the Thai-built Navara NP300 line-up growing to 27 variants. Of those 11 will be 4x2 variants - with two single-cab, a king-cab and eight dual-cab versions. There are 16 4x4 models - three single-cab, six king-cab and seven dual-cab.

Unlike the dual-cab models, the single-cab and king-cab models ride on leaf-spring rear suspension rather than the sophisticated five-link coil spring setup.

Single-cab:

The single-cab body style is offered in two model grades: DX and RX.

The DX is the only model available with the petrol engine, which is a 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder (producing 122kW and 238Nm) in rear-wheel drive, with a six-speed manual gearbox. It has a payload of 1228 kilograms and can tow a claimed 1588kg. Fuel use is claimed at 9.9 litres per 100km.

The DX can also be had with a 2.3-litre turbo diesel (producing 120kW and 403Nm) with four-wheel drive and a manual transmission. That model has a payload of 1196kg and can tow the benchmark 3500kg. Fuel use is claimed at 6.6L/100km.

The RX line is also available with the 2.3-litre turbo diesel in 4x2 manual (fuel use 6.4L/100km; payload 1362kg; towing 3500kg) and 4x4, with the choice of manual or seven-speed automatic. The manual uses a claimed 6.6L/100km, has a payload of 1284kg and a towing rated at 3500kg. Meanwhile, the auto uses a claimed 7.1L/100km, has a payload of 1278kg and claimed towing of 3500kg.

All single-cab models are built in a cab-chassis configuration - there is no style-side option available.

The standard equipment list for the single-cab models includes twin bucket seats, seven airbags (dual front, front-side, curtain and driver's knee), a four-speaker stereo with auxiliary and USB inputs, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming with steering wheel controls, and three 12-volt power outlets.

The DX has 15-inch steel wheels, while RX models have 16-inch steel wheels. All have a full-size spare.

King-cab:

The space-cab models - which Nissan calls king-cab - can be had in three specifications: RX, ST and ST-X. All models have rearward-swinging mini back doors with seating for four. All king-cab models get rear air-vents.

King-cab models come with the choice of the single-turbo diesel 2.3-litre engine (120kW/403Nm, six-speed manual only) in the RX trim, or the twin-turbo 2.3-litre (with 140kW/450Nm and the choice of six-speed manual or optional seven-speed automatic) in the ST and ST-X models. All king-cab models have the maximum 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

The RX 4x2 manual has fuel use claimed at 6.4L/100km and a payload of 1261kg, while the 4x4 claims 6.6L/100km. The 4x4 model can be had with a cab-chassis tray back (payload: 1183kg) or with a pick-up style-side tray (payload: 1047kg).

ST and ST-X models come only with the pick-up style tray and both are 4x4. The payload for the ST manual is rated at 1002kg (999kg for auto) and the ST-X claims 969kg (966kg auto). Fuel use for both variants is claimed at 6.5L/100km for the manual and 7.0L/100km for the auto.

As with the single-cab models, king-cab variants get seven airbags, and both ST and ST-X variants come with a reverse-view camera and LED projector headlights. The ST-X has goodies such as leather trim, satellite navigation, climate control, electric driver's seat adjustment, smart key entry and push-button start.

The RX has 16-inch steel wheels, the ST has 16-inch alloy wheels and the ST-X has 18-inch alloys, and each comes with a matching full-size spare.

Dual-cab-chassis:

The final addition to the Nissan Navara NP300 range is the dual-cab-chassis RX 4x4 model. It is offered solely with the 2.3-litre single-turbo diesel engine (120kW/403Nm) and six-speed manual gearbox.

Fuel use for this model is rated at 6.6L/100km, and the payload for this workhorse model is 1151kg. It has leaf spring rear suspension just like its dual-cab brethren.

It has seating for five occupants, mirrors the rest of the Navara range with seven airbags, comes with 16-inch steel wheels and a full-size spare, and also gets tinted rear glass.
