The Correspondent finalists announced

Over the past month we've watched applications roll in from across the country for The Correspondent competition from fans hoping to land their dream job as a paid motoring journalist for CarAdvice.com.au. All of us at CarAdvice have been genuinely surprised by the quality and passion of those who have entered.


Today, after more than 300 applications, 3000 votes and 50,000 visits to the competition site, we’re announcing our top three finalists.

The finalists will be treated to a VIP stay in Sydney on August 15-16 during which they will be put through a series of training sessions and challenges before the competition’s judges including myself, former World Rally Championship driver Chris Atkinson, TV presenter and car enthusiast Lauren Phillips, and CarAdvice associate publisher James Ward.

So without further ado, The CarAdvice Correspondent finalists are:

The Correspondent judges were blown away by the quality of the written and video reviews entered, which made selecting the finalists an agonising task.

So difficult was the process that our judges have decided to hand out a number of additional prizes for entrants that deserved a special mention.
