Skoda wants your dog to travel in style

The range of four-legged-focused items includes a Backseat Protection mat that covers the back seat and protects it from hair and dirt. The surface is washable, and has a non-slip surface.

There’s also an accessory that, according the the company, “effectively divides the boot into two sections, with the dog in one area and your suitcases and other items in the other”.

You can also buy a barrier positioned directly behind the rear headrests, which prevents the dog from climbing over onto the backseat from the boot. Skoda will also fit a double-sided floor covering with carpet on one side and rubber on the other.

Clearly the best feature, though, is the ‘doggie safety belt’, which clips onto the regular seatbelt. It’s worth the price just to see the vaguely confused look on your dog’s face as you clip it on, surely.

We’ve asked Skoda Australia when we can expect these accessories in Australia, and will update the story once we know.
