Ferrari F12 GTO configurator leaked, will have almost 600kW – report

News about a possible Ferrari F12 GTO and photos claimed to be from an exclusive online configurator have filtered through onto internet over the past week.

The images (above) were first posted on Auto Gespot, a Dutch car website, overnight and are claimed to be from an configurator app shown exclusively to some of Ferrari's most valued clients.

Usually at these events, attendees are forced to surrender their smartphones and cameras, but one seems to have slipped through the net.

If these images turn out to be accurate, the GTO will look quite different from the F12 Berlinetta, as it features a revised bonnet, new front fascia, different aero package, vents along the trailing edge of the front wheel arch and atop the rear haunches, and a new rear-end treatment.

Last week, sources told GT Spirit that a GTO-badged version of the Ferrari F12 will debut at the Frankfurt motor show, which takes place in the middle of September.

The GTO will reportedly feature a version of the F12's 6.3-litre V12, with output upped from 545kW to around the 600kW mark. There's also a possibility that the GTO will fitted with a variant of the HY-KERS hybrid system used in the LaFerrari.
