Infiniti Q30 teased ahead of 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed digital debut

The first ever Infiniti Q30 small luxury hatchback has been teased ahead of its 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed debut.

However, it won't be fully revealed at the British spectacular - instead, Infiniti will have an installation known as the Q30 Inspiration box, that will highlight specific details on the car without giving the whole picture away.

The "innovative 3D box" measures 4.8 metres squared, and it houses a full-size model of the Q30 that will be lit up by "a series of LED lights to expose the distinctive and bold shoulder line of the car as well as the Infiniti design hallmarks of the double arch grille, crescent cut C pillar and the focused eye shaped headlight".

We've seen prototype versions of the Q30 in the past (see above), and we know it is based on the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and will share plenty in common with that popular small model.

If you can't make it to the show you can follow #glimpseQ30 on Twitter to watch the light show. If you do get to Goodwood, there'll also be the QX30 concept SUV, Q60 concept sports coupe and the sleek Q80 concept model.

The production version of the Infiniti Q30 will make its global debut at the 2015 Frankfurt motor show in September.

According to Infiniti Australia general manager of corporate communications, Peter Fadeyev, the car has been requested for the Australian market.

"If it were to head to Australia we would expect it in the first half of next year," Fadeyev said.
