Nissan Juke R Nismo teased ahead of Goodwood debut

The Nissan Juke R Nismo has been teased ahead of its debut at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs from June 25 to 28.

Despite releasing the teaser image (above), Nissan is holding back on information about the car's drivetrain and performance. All it will say it is that the "Juke R is back ... and now with added Nismo", hinting at even more power and enhanced performance.

From the teaser photo, we can see that the Juke R Nismo has a different front apron, with a much squarer and more aggressive look than the Juke R, which was first unveiled back in 2011.

The original production version of the Juke R had the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 from the Nissan GT-R crammed into the engine bay. Developing 404kW of power and 628Nm of torque, all its mumbo was transferred to the ground via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system, also borrowed from the company's supercar.

Flat out, the original Juke R was good for a 0-100km/h time of 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 275km/h.

The current Nissan GT-R has, essentially, the same 404kW/628Nm engine used in the first edition of the Juke R. The GT-R Nismo (above), on the other hand, has a retuned motor that produces 441kW of power and 652Nm of torque.
