2015 Honda Civic hatch pricing and specifications

The 2015 Honda Civic hatch has arrived in Australian showrooms with fresh styling, new technology and extra equipment.

The facelifted Civic hatch lands about eight months after it originally broke cover at last year’s Paris motor show. Reshaped headlights with LED daytime running lights and a restyled grille and bumper create a sharper look at the front, while new lower side mouldings muscle up the profile. Revised tail-lights and integrated spoiler and a reworked bumper clearly distinguish the updated model at the rear.

Front and rear parking sensors for the high-grade VTi-L and VTi-LN variants round out the exterior changes.

The most significant upgrade inside the cabin is the introduction of Honda’s Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system, which enables Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming, mirroring function (for compatible iPhone models), and displays reverse-view camera footage. The flagship VTi-LN variant also gets built-in satellite navigation.

Other 2015 Honda Civic hatch interior updates include a new passenger-side dashboard garnish, sporty seat material (VTi-S and VTi-L variants only), new stitching and chrome accents on the door panels.

Out of sight is the new standard Agile Handling Assist safety system, which is effectively a torque vectoring system that works with the car’s stability control to apply light braking during cornering for claimed added stability and performance.

The updates see prices rise $500 across the range, with the Civic VTi-S manual hatch now $22,150 plus on-road costs, the VTi-S auto $24,450, the VTi-L $26,990, and the VTi-LN now $31,090.

Unclear is the status of the diesel-powered Honda Civic hatch. Honda Australia has made no reference to the DTi-S variant in its press material, and a specification sheet for the 2015 Civic hatch line-up makes no reference to the variant.

CarAdvice has contacted Honda Australia for comment and will update the story when news comes to hand.
