Tesla to open new showroom and service centre in Richmond

Set to open in the coming months, the new showroom will feature a service centre, showroom and lounge for new customers and existing owners. The all-electric car company will also switch on four Tesla superchargers following the opening of the showroom.

The superchargers situated in front of the showroom will be exclusively available to Tesla customers and allow vehicles to reach 80 per cent charge in 40 minutes, or 100 per cent charge in 75 minutes. Perhaps time well spent at the nearby trendy Top Paddock cafe.

Within the showroom customers will be able to configure their new Tesla, along with touching and experiencing the different materials, wheels and colour options available.

Tesla is expected to announce the opening date for the new Richmond showroom in the coming weeks.

Tesla currently only sells the Model S in Australia. The company is working on an SUV variant called the Model X and previously sold the Roadster Sport 2.5 in Australia.
