Reima Kuisla copped the fine as a result of being caught doing 14 miles per hour (22km/h) over the posted speed limit - in this case, 64 miles per hour in a 50 zone (103km/h in an 80km/h area).

Finland doesn't hit all motorists with such exorbitant fines - it takes the income of the driver into account when calculating the fine. Kuisla reportedly earned 6.5 million euros ($12.7m) in 2014, hence why his fine was so high.

Kuisla apparently posted the above image and hit out at Finnish authorities on his Facebook page: "Finland is impossible to live in for certain kinds of people who have high incomes and wealth. I’m considering leaving the country."
