Infiniti QX30 Concept revealed in full
After a series of teasers, the Infiniti QX30 Concept has been revealed in all its glory just ahead of the 2015 Geneva motor show.
The Infiniti QX30 Concept rides on 21-inch alloy wheels featuring both milled aluminium and matte rubber. On the inside there's seating for four people in thin U-shaped seats that are clad with acres of Connolly leather.
Like the forthcoming Infiniti Q30 hatch, the QX30 Concept is based on the same front- and all-wheel drive architecture that underpins the Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback, CLA sedan, GLA SUV and B-Class mini-people mover.
The QX30 Concept measures 4.43 metres from head to tail, is 1815mm wide and stands 1.52m tall. This means that the QX30 Concept is 13mm longer, 9mm wider and 26mm taller than the related Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class.
According to Infiniti, the QX30 Concept is powered by a 2.0-litre direct injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine driving all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The production version of the QX30 will be offered with a variety of petrol and turbo-diesel drivetrains.
The Infiniti Q30 will enter production at Nissan's factory in Sunderland, in the north-east of England, from late 2015. The QX30 should follow its hatchback sibling down the production line in 2016.
Both the Q30 and QX30 are marked down for Australian sale, but their exact on-sale dates have yet to be confirmed.
