The stylised version of the new Skoda Fabia city car will be revealed at the 2015 Geneva motor show in March in both hatchback and wagon derivatives.
It follows a familiar theme for the brand's previous Monte Carlo models, with a rich red paint finish complemented by black highlights.
The black trim includes lower sill extensions, black mirror caps, black headlight bezels and grille, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear windows and a tinted panoramic glass roof. The wagon gets black roof rails, too, and the rear bumper sees the adoption of a dark diffuser.
Inside, the Monte Carlo gets a three-spoke sports steering wheel wrapped in leather, black interior trim and sports seats with red trim highlights, as well as red plastics and stitching.
Under the bonnet there is expected to be a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine - which, in the regular high-spec models bound for Australia, will pump out 81kW and 175Nm and come with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG transmission.
The 2015 Skoda Fabia is expected to arrive in Australia later this year, and it is likely the Monte Carlo model will return as the flagship option in the revised range.
