Suzuki iK-2 hatch and iM-4 4×4 concepts teased ahead of Geneva

Two concept cars will grace the Suzuki stand at this year's Geneva motor show: the Suzuki iK-2 hatch and Suzuki iM-4 four-wheel drive.

The Suzuki iM-4 concept (above) is said to be an "iconic mini 4x4 developed with a concept theme of 'Shape the Inspiration'" and is set to feature "new technologies".

With a new Jimny four-wheel drive set to go on sale in 2017 after a 2016 unveiling, the iM-4 could point the way to a successor vehicle with much more modern styling.

An unnamed Suzuki spokesperson contradicted this line of thinking, though, telling AutoExpress that the iM-4, in fact, points to an all-new model.

Suzuki describes the iK-2 concept (above) as an "ideal compact sized car" that "raises compact car values to the limit".

According to the British publication's source, the iK-2 doesn't serve as a guide to the Swift's replacement. Rather the concept previews a new tall-roof, more practical car which will complement the Swift in the B-segment.

If true, the production version of the Suzuki iK-2 will be targeted at the Honda Jazz and Nissan Note.
