Ken Block lights up LA in 630kW all-paw Ford Mustang in Gymkhana Seven

The latest tyre-frying epic from Ken Block has been released, featuring a 1965 Ford Mustang tearing up the street of Los Angeles.

Gymkhana Seven is the latest instalment from Hoonigan Racing's head man, and follows on from his efforts in a 485kW/880Nm four-wheel-drive Ford Fiesta ST in Gymkhana Six.

Taking in public roads around the US city, Gymkhana Seven is highlighted by Block's latest creation, a wide-bodied all-wheel-drive 1965 Ford Mustang with 630kW and 975Nm.

Powered by a 6.7-litre V8, the 'Hoonicorn RTR' is based on a full tubular chassis and includes a custom roll cage and carbonfibre body panels.

Seen taking the brunt of the punishment dished out by Block's right foot are 18x10.5-inch three-piece wheels and Pirelli Trofeo R tyres (in a custom compound designed specifically for Mr Block).

Watch the clip for a cameo by Block's old 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (in wreck form anyway…).
