Alleged Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1 leaked online

Photos which are claimed to be of the Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1 have been leaked online.

In recent times Mercedes-Benz has launched new models with limited run Edition 1 models kitted out with some extra kit and tweaked looks. It seems as though the new Mercedes-AMG GT won't be an exception to this new rule.

If these images prove to be accurate, the exterior of the Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1 will feature new 10-spoke alloys and a few carbon fibre flourishes, including a front spoiler, sill extensions and front air intake additions.

By far the most obvious external change, though, will be the Edition 1's fixed rear wing, which replaces the automatically adjusted spoilers fitted to the regular GT and GT S.

Reports indicate that the Edition 1's interior will feature yellow stitching on the dash, seats and door trims. Naturally there will also be a clutch of Edition 1 badges scattered around the place.

The Edition 1's mechanical package is expected to be shared with the GT S. This means a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 churning out 375kW of power and 650Nm of torque for the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

In the GT S that drivetrain is capable of going from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds and hitting a top speed of 310km/h.
