Lamborghini teases new car for Paris motor show

Lamborghini has, in a media invite, teased a new car that it will unveil at the Paris motor show at the beginning of October.

Underneath a white outline, the cryptic tagline "Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it" hints that this new Lamborghini will seat four people. Unless, of course, the Italian brand has a 20- or 24-cylinder vehicle up its sleeve or maybe, even, an eight-wheel drive car.

A four-seater seems far more likely given the car's fastback rump and proportions, although the air scoop shape ahead of the rear wheel arch could be suggesting a mid-engine layout for Lamborghini's Paris show car.

Lamborghini's current models both feature seating for two and a mid-engine, all-wheel drive layout. The V10 Huracan debuted late last year, while the V12 Aventador was launched back in 2011.

The company has confirmed that it is working on an SUV. That car may or may not draw inspiration from the Urus concept that had its first outing at the 2012 Beijing motor show. Lamborghini's SUV will likely share its underpinnings with the next generation Audi Q7, Bentley SUV and Porsche Cayenne.
