Smart Fortwo electric drive ad goes viral

The ad focuses on the current-generation two-door EV micro car which is involved in a series of drag races against more fancied competitors. The creators posted the following description: "The Smart Fortwo electric drive is a champion of urban mobility. But is it a champion of the drag strip? Against some of the fastest cars in the city?! Well, there's only one way to find out." You'll need to watch the clip to see the kicker.

The video was posted late in June, and has had more than 1.8 million views on YouTube.

All-new versions of the Smart Fortwo and Forfour were revealed earlier this year, with an updated EV model expected at a later date.
