Renault Australia has introduced an extended warranty option to its light-commercial vehicle range, allowing customers to stretch their cover to five years.
The extended manufacturer warranty can be purchased on top of the standard three-year/200,000km warranty, with prices ranging from $1090 to $2890. The offer adds either one or two years to the warranty, but does not change the 200,000km distance limit.
The extended warranty must be purchased when the vehicle is delivered new. It maintains all the terms and conditions of the standard warranty into the fourth and fifth years of ownership, and is fully transferable to second and subsequent owners.
There is no requirement for owners to service their vehicles within the Renault network, but they must be serviced and maintained according to the terms of the owner’s handbook.
Last month, Renault extended the warranty of its Renault Sport and GT-line vehicles to five years and unlimited kilometres, bringing its performance vehicles into line with the rest of its passenger car range.

Kangoo – four years: $1090, five years: $1890
