Porsche sports cars added to Australian Hertz rental car range
Getting behind the wheel of a Porsche Boxster or Porsche Cayman is now significantly more achievable with the sports car twins joining Hertz Australia’s rental car ranks.
Retailing for $107,790 and $111,590 respectively, the soft-top Porsche Boxster and hardtop Cayman can now be rented locally through Hertz as part of its Adrenaline Collection from $564.21 per day according to the company's website.
Powered by near-identical 2.7-litre six-cylinder engines – the Boxster gets 195kW and 280Nm, the Cayman 202kW and 290Nm – the two are only available tied to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Promising to offer “a supreme driving experience and turn heads wherever they go", Hertz says both Germans are available for pick up from its Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane airport locations, with driver age restricted to those 25 and above.
If a Porsche sports car isn't to your taste, however, Hertz' Adrenaline Collection also includes the Toyota 86 and Nissan Pulsar SSS.
For comparison, Hertz US offers a Porsche range comprising the Boxster, 911 Carrera, Panamera and Cayenne and across Europe the rental car company’s fleet includes the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Range Rover.
