Available on the Citigo, Fabia, Roomster, Rapid, Octavia, Superb and Yeti, the special Black Edition treatment adds between £1200 and £3200 ($2180 and $5820) in options, depending on the model, with customers benefitting from up to £1720 ($3130) in added value.
The specification of each Black Edition model varies. All get black alloy wheels and black exterior styling details, while select models gain cruise control, leather upholstery, upgraded infotainment systems and DAB digital radio.
The Citigo, Roomster and Rapid are available exclusively with black exterior paint, while the rest of the Black Edition variants can be ordered in either black or white.
Skoda Australia public relations manager Kurt McGuiness told CarAdvice the local division has “no plans at this stage to offer a stand-alone Black Edition range like the UK”, but said the company was constantly reviewing its model line-up and product offering.
Skoda offers two Black Packs for its recently launched Octavia RS in Australia that add black grille frames, side mirrors and roof rails (wagon only) and either 18-inch Gemini Anthracite alloy wheels ($500) or 19-inch Xtreme alloys ($1000).
