The Furtive-eGT features bespoke running gear developed in-house in collaboration with SAFT, which provided the lithium-ion batteries, Michelin, responsible for the axles and tyres, and Siemens, which produced the car’s purpose-built electric motors.
The Furtive-eGT’s twin electric motors each produce more than 400hp (298kW), combining for a total output of more than 600kW.
Exagon says the zero-emission powertrain propels the coupe from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, putting it within a tenth of the $525,000 Ferrari 458 Italia.
The ultra-lightweight eGT comprises advanced materials based on Formula One technology including a carbonfibre-honeycomb tub, a cast aluminium rear structure, and what it claims is “the first monocoque light carbon four-seat body in the world”, which is said to weigh just 124kg.
Exagon says it has already attracted an international waiting list for the Furtive-eGT, which it plans to produce on a made-to-order basis.
The French manufacturer’s compact four-seater will appear at The Hurlingham Club in the UK on July 16.
