FT2: Veritas RS III

In a day’s time CarAdvice will embark on its most ambitious overseas project yet, driving almost a dozen of the world's fastest, rarest and most exotic supercars in stunning locations around Europe as part of Full Throttle 2.

The first trip certainly set the bar high, with the CarAdvice team taking the wheel of the infamous Bugatti Veyron in the first Australian drive of its type, along with two Lamborghinis and yet another Australian first with the Aston Martin DBS.

Making this next trip even more spectacular was certainly no mean feat, culminating in more than six months of ongoing preparation and organisation from the opposite side of the globe - and the results are nothing short of staggering.

We begin with possibly the most extraordinary car on the trip, having fallen into obscurity over the past 50 years, the Veritas nameplate has now been resurrected with the new Veritas RS III.

The Veritas RS III is a modern day homage to race cars of the past, although if it could be sent back to that era it would no doubt dominate the field with its BMW-sourced V10 engine churning out over 450kW.

Having been engineered down to the bare essentials, coupled with the use of lightweight materials, the Veritas RS III weighs in at just 1080kg, resulting in performance figures of zero to 100km/h in just over 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 348km/h.

Only 50 examples of the Veritas RS III are planned for production per year, and CarAdvice has secured one of its very own in perhaps the world's most ideal driving country - Germany.

Stay tuned throughout the day as we bring you the full list of cars planned for Full Throttle 2.
