Suzuki S-Cross price cut to $22,990 driveaway
The price of the Suzuki S-Cross has been chopped again in an early restructure of the sub-compact SUV line-up.
The Suzuki S-Cross GL manual is now available from $22,990 driveaway – $1000 less than before – following the second price cut in less than four months for the all-new model that launched in Australia in December.
The S-Cross GL CVT and CLX CVT are also down $1000, now $25,490 and $29,990 driveaway respectively.
The price of both all-wheel-drive variants, the S-Cross GLX CVT AWD and GLX Prestige CVT AWD, has risen $1000 however, to $34,990 and $36,990 driveaway respectively.
Specifications of all variants are unchanged despite the price shuffle.
The Suzuki S-Cross has made a slow start to 2014, recording just 185 sales in January and February – outsold almost two to one by the car it was introduced to replace, the SX4, which notched up 343 sales.
Suzuki Australia is expected to bolster its S-Cross range either late this year or early in 2015 with the introduction of a diesel option. The 88kW/320Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine boasts more than twice as much torque as the 1.6-litre petrol engine that is the sole option at this stage, and claims combined cycle fuel consumption of 4.2-4.4 litres per 100km.
