Reshaped headlights with daytime running lights, a new trapezoidal radiator grille with larger openings and a revised bumper with sharper edges freshen the look of the 2014 HiAce at the front.

The cabin trades its front bench seat for an individual passenger seat and a centre console box, and also benefits from the introduction of cruise control, a new four-spoke steering wheel with audio switches, and an LCD multi-information display screen showing the time, odometer and outside temperature.

New safety features include seatbelt warning buzzers for the front-row occupants and a seatbelt warning lamp for the front passenger.

The Toyota HiAce continues to be offered in three body styles: long- and super-long-wheelbase vans and 14-seat commuter bus. All are available with 2.7-litre petrol and 3.0-litre diesel engines, and with the option of five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions.

The price of the HiAce vans carries over unchanged, while HiAce bus variants increase $500.
