Mazda Hazumi concept – new pictures leaked ahead of Geneva debut

New images of the Mazda Hazumi concept have surfaced ahead of the car's debut at the 2014 Geneva motor show this week.

Images posted on Chinese site Autosohu.com indicate the new concept car - which showcases how the next-generation Mazda 2 will look - clearly boasts the brand's Kodo design language, following on from previous show cars and also production models such as the new Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and CX-5 SUV.

As was previewed in the brand's teaser sketch of the Hazumi released last week, the car features a bold front-end styling treatment, with a metallic five-point V-shaped grille dominating the nose of the car. The angular headlights add to its an animal-like appearance.

The Hazumi appears to have stayed quite true to the current Mazda 2's cute proportions, with short overhangs and large door panels making it look more substantial and quite planted.

The rear looks similar to the current car as well, featuring a small set of tail-lights, a smallish boot-lid, and showy central exhausts poking through the high-lipped back bumper.

Full details of the Mazda Hazumi concept will be revealed tomorrow. Stay tuned for more.
