Citroen C1 Swiss & Me concept unveiled

The Citroen C1 already set tongues wagging with its quirky styling, but now the French brand has shown a crossover-style version known as the Citroen C1 Swiss & Me.

The pint-sized city car will be revealed at the Geneva motor show this week, and it features off-road styling cues that the brand says offer "a picture-perfect illustration of the personalisation possibilities of the new Citroen C1".

Those changes, which create a rival to cars such as the Nissan Juke, include a bulky black plastic body protection pack which includes flared wheel arches and side skirts, as well as a set of larger alloy wheels, a central exhaust outlet and rear wing.

In a nod to the country in which the new C1 will debut, there's a bunch of Swiss colour cues, such as the red roof with the country's flag on top, and a snowflake border where the red paint hits the pearl white paint on the lower part of the car.

Unfortunately, Australian buyers shouldn't expect any Sydney- or Melbourne-specific versions of the C1, and not only because there are no major motor shows in either of those cities at this point in time - Citroen has stated that it is not interested in bringing the city car to our shores.
