Nissan Juke : facelifted sub-compact SUV teased

Teaser images revealing parts of the newly facelifted Nissan Juke have been released just hours before the start of the 2014 Geneva motor show.

Spread across four teaser shots, the images highlight the facelifted Nissan Juke's new 370Z-inspired boomerang-style top lights, an updated grille, LED tail-lights with new inlays and 18-inch colour splashed alloy wheels.

Due to be unveiled in full at tomorrow's Geneva motor show, the styling revisions appear minor with Juke's original quirky shape, stubby dimensions and oversized bumper-mounted circular lights carrying over.

Debuting at the 2010 Geneva motor show ahead of its European and US launches that same year, the current Nissan Juke arrived in Australia in October last year.

Priced from $21,990, the Juke is offered locally with a choice of an 86kW/158Nm naturally aspirated or 140kW/240Nm Pulsar SSS-sourced turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, a five- and six-speed manual or automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) and either front- or all-wheel drive.

Already a funky rival to the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Holden Trax and Peugeot 2008, from 2015 the refreshed Juke will also go up against the Fiat 500X-based Jeep Renegade – seen today in the first leaked images.
