Subaru Viziv 2 : Crossover coupe concept teased

The Subaru Viziv 2 concept will give an insight into the car maker’s latest vision for a future crossover vehicle when it debuts at next month’s Geneva motor show.

The Viziv 2 concept – teased in the technicolour sketch above – is Subaru’s third take on the high-riding two-door model, following the original Viziv concept from last year’s Swiss show (pictured below) and the Viziv Evolution from November’s Tokyo show.

The tightly cropped teaser image focuses on the Subaru Viziv 2’s front end, previewing its restyled ‘hawk-eye’ LED headlights, hexagonal radiator grille, circular fog lights with hexagonal inlay, and angular lower and front-side air intakes.

The Viziv 2 concept – its name is derived from phrase ‘vision for innovation’ – is expected to mirror the muscular crossover-coupe styling of the last year’s concepts.

There’s no word on the Viziv 2’s drivetrain at this stage. The original Viziv featured an innovative all-wheel-drive diesel-hybrid drivetrain, comprising a 2.0-litre four-cylinder ‘boxer’ engine, three electric motors, a lithium-ion battery pack and an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Stay tuned for more details of the Subaru Viziv concept ahead of its Geneva debut on March 4.
