Skoda Yeti facelift leaked

Images of the facelifted 2014 Skoda Yeti have been leaked ahead of the car’s expected unveiling at next month’s Frankfurt motor show.

The facelift aligns the Skoda Yeti’s styling with firm's new design language – as seen on the its Rapid and Octavia models – revealing a more modern, conservative approach for the Czech carmaker.

First published by Russian website Autowp, the leaked pictures show the 2014 Yeti will feature a more aggressive front bumper design, as well as a new grille, restyled bonnet and refreshed tail-lights.

It also looks to have replaced the original car’s black plastic lower-body cladding with body coloured items and the existing black roof rails with silver versions.

The Yeti’s headlights seem to have undergone the most change, ditching the pre-facelifted car’s twin headlight arrangement for a sleek, single unit design.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the Yeti’s eccentric pillar treatment, with only the B-pillars being body coloured.

Inside, the car reveals few changes. There are new trim options and a revised steering wheel, but all is on par with standard Volkswagen Group fare.

The first-generation Skoda Yeti made its debut at the 2009 Geneva motor show.
