Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG spotted in official production video
The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG has been revealed for the first time in an official video from the German manufacturer.
While most of the clip filmed at Mercedes-Benz's Sindelfingen plant in Germany shows the production processes behind the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class luxury limousine, at 6min55sec, the previously unseen S63 AMG is clearly on display.
The white performance model has a more aggressive front bumper with larger air vents free of the chrome slat seen on the rest of the S-Class range, wider front guards with V8 bi-turbo badging, and a rear end brandishing its specific ‘S63 AMG’ badge.
A 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 with around 410kW is expected to power the sixth-generation S63 AMG, which should improve upon the outgoing 400kW/800Nm model’s 4.5sec 0-100km/h time.
A more powerful S-Model is also likely, following the trend set by the recently facelifted Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and E63 S-Model.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will belatedly join the rest of the S-Class range, due to arrive in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2013, then Australia in 2014.
